Guarnaschelli was eventually the head chef at Butter. Guarnaschelli is an Food Network Iron Chef America contestant, who was competing against Cat Cora for the Farmers Market Battle of 2007 during Iron Chef America. Seit then she is an Iron Chef America judge. She also competed for The Next Iron Chef in season 4 in 2011. She also competed in The Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast episode but was eliminated from the competition. Her position was upgraded to sous chef for Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian following the 4th season of The Next Iron Chef. In 2008, she was the host of Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli where she teaches the students in a small class instructing them on how to reinvent classic dishes.
