Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor, is most well-known for his role in the tv show Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college Christopher Meloni was interested in the acting world. He went to study acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. Although he's been active on film and television it is his characters on the small screen that earned him a cult fan following. He is able to portray characters of both good and bad sides in the law enforcement system. He is able capture the audiences attention effortlessly. He portrayed the role of a serial murderer in his first television series project however he later chose to portray the character as an NYPD detective. For his work on the small screen, he's been up for nomination many times for the highly coveted Emmy Awards. His signature striking blue eyes that have been said to make him look handsome. They've helped him play tough characters in a charming style. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
